AF JAG Corps personnel played key roles in the United States’ response to the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. AMC/JA was engaged in almost every facet of the humanitarian relief operation, including a unique role in the evacuation of over 900 orphans. These orphans, who were already in the process of being adopted by American families, were spared almost-certain starvation. A discussion of the legal challenges we faced starts on page 80.
